The two squared up with the ball out of play as Al-Bulaihi attempted to stop the Portuguese sensation from grabbing it to take a quick throw-in.
The Al-Hilal defender was shown on camera being elbowed by Ronaldo, which caused him to fall to the ground and started a brawl between the players. The opposition was not amused by the challenge.
Then, in another film, Ronaldo looked to be stamping on an already-downed Al-Bulaihi; however, the view was obscured by the advertising boards, so it’s not clear if Ronaldo actually made contact with the player.
