To replace Salah, Liverpool is paying special attention to Leeds United’s Ace

On Caught Offside, journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Liverpool is paying close attention to Leeds United striker Crysencio Summerville.

Standings, positions that can be promoted directly to the Premier League the next season without having to compete in the play-offs.

However, the 22-year-old player’s future with Leeds remains uncertain because, according to a recent disclosure from journalist Romano on Caught Offside, Summerville is being pursued by a number of major European clubs. Among them, Liverpool stands out.

One of the main reasons why The Kop is targeting Summerville is Mohamed Salah’s uncertain future at Anfield next summer. British media recently reported that the Egyptian star would attempt to leave the Red Brigade and relocate to Saudi Arabia to play.

There have been rumours of an exit this summer before the Egyptian’s contract expires next year.

Given our No. 11’s emphasis on playing competitive football, any such suggestion should be taken with a grain of salt.

A total of 36 goal contributions in 35 games (in all competitions) shows that the forward is still well-suited to the level of English top-flight football.

We’d be very surprised if he was willing to take a significant step back in terms of the Saudi Pro League’s relative quality in exchange for a higher salary.

Of course, Empire of the Kop has an opinion on the matter. We could still be proven wrong on the subject.

That’s a tall order for any footballer in the world, let alone the 22-year-old from Leeds!

Summerville has had a successful season in the Championship this year, scoring 27 goals in 41 games. The Dutchman averages one goal or assist every 119.33 minutes.

He has made more appearances on the left flank (17) than on the right (4). His right-footedness would almost certainly prevent him from replacing Salah directly.
