According to Fichajes, the two La Liga giants both have their eyes on the Man City star.

Bernardo Silva joined Manchester City in the summer of 2017 after impressive performances for AS Monaco. With his talent, he soon became an indispensable part of the Premier League giants’ squad and helped them win a series of titles.

Currently, the 29-year-old player has the collection that any star dreams of with 5 Premier League and 1 Champions League.

However, after a glorious journey with Man City, many speculate that Silva is open to finding a new challenge.

The 29-year-old was expected to leave last summer, but in the end he signed a new contract with the Etihad Stadium team. However, Silva can still leave this summer without much pressure from Man City, because the two sides are bound by a release clause of only about 50 million euros.

Spanish media said that Barcelona is planning to liquidate the squad to earn a fee enough to take Silva away from the Etihad. But they faced competition from Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are facing the possibility of parting ways with Luka Modric this summer. They believe that Silva can completely replace the Croatian legend to help the club control the midfield. 

Real possesses more abundant financial resources than Barca. Therefore, they will hold a great advantage in this race.
