While celebrating the historic achievement, defender Jeremie Frimpong had a humorous response with Granit Xhaka.

Bayer Leverkusen won their first Bundesliga title in history with a 5-0 home win over Werder Bremen. Goals from Victor Boniface, Florian Wirtz and the Swiss international created a jubilant scene at BayArena.

Xhaka’s arrival at the club last summer coincided with a superb season for the team. At this time, Leverkusen has not yet tasted defeat on any front.

“Granit, you’re from Arsenal and you won the championship here! My damn Granit,” the Dutch international shouted during the livestream session.

Xhaka’s career resurgence began under Mikel Arteta. The defensive midfielder was widely criticized when he first moved to the Premier League for his poor decision-making and rash tackles.
