Coach Carlo Ancelotti: I’m Satisfied With My Students – Everyone Thought Real Madrid Was Dead, But We Never Gave Up Because Real Madrid Will Never Die

A brave performance at the Etihad Sanctuary helped Real Madrid defeat Manchester City on penalties to win a ticket to the Champions League semi-finals. Sharing after the match with Movistar, coach Carlo Ancelotti expressed satisfaction with his students.

Carlo Ancelotti:

“ We started well, took the lead, and then we had to suffer, fight and sacrifice. We retreated too deep to defend. Manchester City had more possession of the ball, although they did so throughout the match. I thought we defended very, very well.”

After the victory against Manchester City, Real Madrid will face Barcelona in round 32 of La Liga. The Italian strategist hopes his students will soon recover their physical strength to prepare for this important match.

Carlo Ancelotti:

“ We have no physical problems and have time until Sunday to recover. We will rest to recover and realize that we have achieved something very good. Everyone thought we were dead, but Real Madrid never gave up because  Real Madrid will never die.
