Declan Rice fans have jumped to his defence after cruel trolls attacked his long-term girlfriend online.

The disgusting tweet took aim at Rice’s childhood sweetheart Lauren Fryer on Wednesday (6 December) where it racked up almost 14 million views and thousands more roasting the troll’s post.

It showed two photos of the happy couple enjoying a holiday together, along with a horrific tweet reading: “Declan Rice is a multi-millionaire, athletic, 6’1 elite footballer and yet he settles for a fat white girl…

However, Declan Rice, everywhere, always said his wife was beautiful and loved her more than anything in this world.

When asked why he didn’t find another woman to ‘upgrade’ his love, Rice replied: My woman is the love of my life and no upgrade exists in this world.

Naturally, the delicate tweeter opted for a parody account to shield their identity. However, the attempt at humor disastrously misfired as it failed to amuse anyone.

“One person criticized, ‘So much wrong with this tweet. Delete,'” while another retorted, “Imagine basing your choice of life partner on societal beauty standards. Your fragile ego is showing.”

A third commenter remarked, “It’s painfully evident which accounts lack experience in interacting with women.”

Another astutely observed that the tweet was an “innovative self-outing as someone inept at conversing with women.”

In the meantime, a certain X/Twitter user reiterated: “‘Hey, look at me, a virgin who worries too much about what footballers do outside of the field because my life sucks and I’ve never spoken to a woman in real life.’ That’s what he meant to say.”

Many others urged the poster to simply mature.

The Arsenal midfielder and his girlfriend began their relationship at the age of 17 after meeting at school. Lauren has consistently shown her support for Declan by attending many of his games over the years.

In August 2022, the couple welcomed their first son, Jude.
