Jamie Redknapp makes Arsenal title prediction as Gunners return to Premier League summit

Jamie Redknapp believes that Arsenal will win the Premier League title the next season, regardless of what occurs in the upcoming month.

After defeating Wolves 2-0 on Saturday night, the Gunners reclaimed their top spot in the Premier League standings. After losing 2-0 to Aston Villa to end their title chances and 1-0 to Bayern Munich to eliminate them from the Champions League in the quarterfinals, Mikel Arteta’s team recovered.

In the first half, Leandro Trossard’s scuffed toe-punt gave Arsenal the lead, and Martin Odegaard’s late strike from a tight angle sealed the victory. They are currently one point ahead of Manchester City, who will not play in the league until Thursday when they take on Brighton. Manchester City was occupied with defeating Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

When Arsenal plays Chelsea on Tuesday night, they will have the opportunity to extend their advantage to four points. However, City is still the overwhelming favorite to win the championship because they have won 29 straight games in all competitions (not including their midweek setback to Real Madrid on penalties). Nevertheless, Redknapp thinks Arsenal will succeed in 2024–2025 and that they have made significant improvement.
“It doesn’t matter what happens; I think Arsenal will win the title next year,” he stated on Sky Sports. They’ll sign a few players in the summer, and I believe they have what it takes to succeed. They also seem to be growing better every year. Whatever happens this season, I still believe they’ll be my favorites for the following one.

In reference to this season, he continued, saying, “I still think Man City.” It is not going to be easy, in my opinion. I simply don’t think Man City will win every game; I don’t think they will. Winning points in this competition is really tough, in my opinion. Even though I enjoy watching Man City, they haven’t performed as well as they did last year, but they are still the best team.

Arsenal's Martin Odegaard celebrates
Arteta was thrilled with his team’s recovery after a challenging week. “Very pleased,” he said to Sky Sports. The game tests you, of course. When a competition hits your ego and makes you question your team dynamic, the only way to handle it is to dominate the pitch the way we have. You want to be at the top, you want to be battling for big things, and you have to demonstrate that resilience. We truly deserved to prevail.

About reaching the summit, he said, “It’s great.” That’s our desired location. We were defeated by Aston Villa at home last week. That game was one that we didn’t deserve to lose, but we did. Even though we have had an incredible run since January, we are still not at the top of the league. For a few hours today, we are here; a busy week is ahead.
