Liverpool moved level with Arsenal on points at the top of the Premier League table after starring in a 3-1 victory over Fulham
Liverpool (4-3-3)
Alisson – 6.5
Not much to do until stopping Muniz after 40 minutes. Couldn’t stop Castagne’s equalizer in any way.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – 8
Liverpool’s vice-captain put on a bit of a “I’m him” show. He wasn’t perfect because some of his shots missed, but he was the best player on the field and had some great passes like Kevin De Bruyne and a beautiful free kick to cap it off.
Alecander-Arnold was the best player on the field. He passed the ball like Kevin De Bruyne and scored a beautiful free kick to cap it all off.
Jarell Quansah – 7
Characteristic Muniz went after him, but he did a good job and hit some nice diagonal long balls.
Virgil van Dijk – 7
As always, a commanding presence. Some Fulham players, like Bobby Decordova-Reid, were afraid to play against him. He ran into him and asked for a penalty.
Virgil van Dijk was a commanding presence as ever in Liverpool’s defence as Fulham’s players looked scared to take him on
Andy Robertson – 6.5
Got down the left wing well and caused trouble, but his crossing wasn’t as good as it could have been. The first touch and backheel pass early in the second half were both terrible.
Harvey Elliott – 6.5
It was funny at Craven Cottage when he tried a free kick under the wall but it was taken away. He was booed every time he touched the ball. Elliott played well apart from one bad finish. Early in the second half, he missed a good chance to score.
Wataru Endo – 6.5
They lost the ball a few times without thinking in the first half, but they played much better after the break.
Ryan Gravenberch – 7.5
The Dutchman’s first season in England hasn’t gone as planned, but this was a much better performance with a goal that could be very important in the title race. Had some nice moments when he slid through the middle of the field on the half-turn.
Gravenberch scored his first goal in the Premier League after re-establishing Liverpool’s lead
Cody Gakpo – 7.5
Liverpool fans have been critical of this player for the past month, but he put on a great show today and helped set up Jota’s third goal. Defend well during your shift.
Diogo Jota – 7.5
He sailed a shot from a dangerous spot that was blocked in the first half. Some people didn’t believe he could score when he was set up in the second half, but his goal for 3-1 almost won them the game.
There was never any doubting Diogo Jota when he was set through on goal in the second half
Luis Diaz – 7
Got off to a good start and looked sharp in the first half, working well with Alexander-Arnold. A little dulled down in the second half, though.
