The Gunners were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after losing to Bayern Munich. They also lost to Aston Villa in the Premier League, thereby losing the top spot.
Coach Mikel Arteta has promised that Arsenal will be completely focused on the Premier League title race when they return with a match against Wolves this weekend.
However, what Arsenal needs is for Manchester City to decline in the last six matches when Pep Guardiola’s team is leading the London club by two points.
But whatever happens, Arsenal is already planning ahead for the future.
According to The Guardian, Arsenal have put Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise on their shopping list, in their ambition to add a new striker and winger.
Isak was a main target for the Gunners before he joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022. The 24-year-old striker is in good form this season, scoring 17 Premier League goals in 24 matches.
Arsenal will also target Palace star Olise. This is considered one of the best wingers in the Premier League today.
