Spurs supporters are voicing similar opinions about the rumored Arsenal home jersey for the upcoming campaign: the recognizable red body is fashioned like a bottle! An account named Football Headlines posted images of what seems to be the new Arsenal home uniform for the 2024–25 campaign on X (formerly Twitter). The outfit has blue side labels next to the red body and white sides.

However, it didn’t take long for rival supporters—among them, a handful of Gooners—to realize that the shirt’s central red patch had a striking resemblance to something else. One user commented, “The red area looks like a bottle,” adding laughing emojis. A Spurs fan posted a picture of a red drink bottle, and another fan complimented the pattern on the middle of the bottle. Three crying laughing emojis were included with the hashtag #AdidasKnows #Bottlers.

A mocking image of the outfit in front of bricks was included in one of the photographs.

Does the wall have a bottle on it? “Wow, that’s hilarious,” said another Tottenham supporter.


Another sly fan said, “Adidas made a bottle for Arsenal to continue the legacy.”

The design parallels were also pointed out by one Gooner, who wrote: “Even Adidas is making fun of us “bottling”.”
Arsenal’s inability to see a successful campaign through to the end has earned them the nickname “bottlers.”


Their well-documented shortcomings from the previous season—despite dominating the Premier League for an extended period of time—were made worse this year when they lost the championship to Aston Villa last weekend and were eliminated by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
