Cristiano Ronaldo unselfishly gives penalty to Sadio Mane while also scoring a brace of his own to help Al-Nassr reach the King’s Cup of Champions final

When Cristiano Ronaldo gave Sadio Mane a penalty kick during Al-Nassr’s match against Al-Khaleej on Wednesday night, he demonstrated that he is not as self-centered as some people may think.

When his team was handed a spot-kick late in the first half, Ronaldo—who was sent off against Al-Hilal last month—scored a superb opening of his own. He returned from suspension for the first leg of the match.

Although the Portuguese sensation is Al-Nassr’s official penalty taker, he delegated the task to his teammate to give him more confidence.

With a swiveling left-footed finish, Ronaldo took advantage of a weak clearance by the goalie to make the ideal start to his comeback.
The 39-year-old then scored Al-Nassr’s second goal of the match from close range to help propel the team into the King’s Cup of Champions final.

With the brace, Ronaldo now has 38 goals in all competitions this season, demonstrating his goal-scoring ability ahead of this summer’s Euro 2024.

Portugal is one of the favorites to win the championship in Germany under Roberto Martinez’s leadership.

But because of his age, there has been discussion in Portugal about whether Ronaldo ought to be on the team.
