Ronaldo continued to create ‘unprecedented’ records when scoring a hat-trick to help Al Nassr crush Al Wehda 6-0 in round 30 of the Saudi Pro League on May 5.
The 39-year-old striker curled his right foot into the far corner to open the score for Al Nassr in the 5th minute. Just 7 minutes later, he jumped high and headed the ball into the net for rival Al Wehda.
The Portuguese superstar completed his hat-trick with a header in the 52nd minute, thereby helping Al Nassr crush the opponent 6-0.
“Cristiano Ronaldo’s perfect hat-trick”, Saudi Arabian media headlined and commented: “39-year-old striker scored 3 goals with both left foot, right foot, and head”.
This is the 10th time he has scored a perfect hat-trick in his career, while superstar Lionel Messi has never done this even once.
“It feels great,” the Portuguese superstar wrote on social networks after the win on May 5: “Thank you team and Al Nassr fans.”
The hat-trick also helped the owner of 5 Golden Balls create a series of impressive milestones. Statistics show that this is his third hat-trick in just 35 days, despite being suspended for 2 matches.
In total, the former Man Utd, Real Madrid, and Juventus star had 66 hat-tricks in his career.
With the latest 3 goals, this striker raised the all-time record to 890 goals in 1,220 matches.
Ronaldo has scored 59 goals in 46 matches for Al Nassr in all competitions this season, including 47 goals and 12 assists.
The superstar born in 1985 is leading the Saudi Pro League top scorer race with 32 goals, 9 goals ahead of the player behind Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Although Ronaldo personally did extraordinary things, Al Nassr’s chance of winning the Saudi Pro League is almost gone.
They are nine points behind top team Al Hilal, with only four matches left. However, Ronaldo and his teammates have the opportunity to lift the King Cup championship when they meet Al Hilal in the final on May 31.
