Following his Saturday hospitalization after a ball injured his head during a football game, a former Arsenal player is reportedly in a “stable condition.”
The ball had struck the 26-year-old in the face at close range.
The incident happened when RWD Molenbeek lost their Belgian Pro League match against Charleroi 3-1 at home.
According to Yannick Ferreira, manager of Molenbeek, there were concerns that the player might have experienced a brain hemorrhage.
The player did, however, provide a favorable update on his condition on Saturday night, and according to reports from the French publication L’Equipe, which Get French Football News is citing, he had “undergone medical examinations and was observed overnight.”
According to L’Equipe, people who knew the player well told Molenbeek that the test results were “reassuring.”
According to the French outlet, one of his entourage members remarked, “Jeff is fine.” There are no aftereffects or bleeding.
After the game, Yannick Ferrera, the team’s coach, had stated, “We fear a brain hemorrhage.” However, it is too early to tell how serious his head injury is. This season, we won’t see him on the field again, but most importantly, we hope the best for him.
On Saturday night, Reine-Adelaide wrote a heartfelt message to her followers on Instagram.
“Thank you for your encouraging messages, more good than evil,” he added.
Lyon, Reine-Adelaide’s previous team, expressed their best wishes to her.
“Olympique Lyonnais is with you at this difficult time,” they wrote on X.We send you our best wishes for a quick recovery, bravery, and strength.
As a young player, Reine-Adelaide signed with Arsenal in 2015 and stayed with the team until 2018. He played for the Gunners in eight competitive senior games.
After a successful loan spell at Nice, he signed with Angers. He later spent time with Lyon, taking on loans at Troyes and Nice, before permanently joining Molenbeek.
