Transfer targets ‘confirmed’ as Mikel Arteta suffers Man Utd injury worry

Arsenal will find out if they are the Premier League winners in less than 14 days.

To cap off a fantastic year, they have to be flawless to defeat Manchester United and Everton at the end of the season. Sadly for Mikel Arteta and company, Manchester City still has a game to play and has the ability to pass the Gunners for first position in the standings.

This coming weekend, Arsenal’s rivals will play first and look to beat Fulham to increase the pressure on Arsenal. For the side of North London that knows only victories matter today, not much changes.

The Gunners are limited to thinking about themselves and their next move, even if summer will soon arrive and that cannot be disregarded. Having said that, Mirror Football looks at some of the most recent Arsenal headlines.
Striker Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP has made suggestions that he would leave the team after leading his team to the Portuguese championship.

Gyokeres, who left Coventry for a £17 million transfer last summer, has flourished, scoring 27 goals and dishing out 10 assists in 31 league games. The Sweden international has garnered support from a wide range of teams, including Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.

According to reports, Sporting is only willing to sell him for his €100 million (£86 million) release clause, but the attacker acknowledged he couldn’t commit to staying in the city of Portugal.
“It’s football, I can’t promise anything,” Gyokeres remarked. “I have a contract, and I’m happy if I stay, but we’ll see what happens.” We still have games this season, so we’ll see what happens next year. There’s not much we can foretell.”

The defender at London Colney was not shown in Tuesday’s Arsenal training video. The Japan international played the whole ninety minutes in Arsenal’s convincing victory over Bournemouth, but he did not appear to be practicing with his teammates ahead of Manchester United.
