According to talkSPORT, Man United’s board of directors has had initial contact with coach Thomas Tuchel in planning to find a replacement for Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag’s coaching position is no longer guaranteed when they perform so poorly in the Premier League this season. Regardless of whether Man United wins or loses the FA Cup final against Man City, it is reported that Ten Hag will be sacked at the end of the season and a number of targets have been identified.
A recent report claims that the Red Devils have drawn up a shortlist of three managers to replace Ten Hag, with Thomas Tuchel considered the leading candidate. Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim and former Chelsea manager Graham Potter are also being considered, but the Red Devils appear to have made the first move on Tuchel.
According to talkSPORT, Man United management and Tuchel’s representatives had initial contact to find out whether the German strategist was interested in moving to Old Trafford in the summer of 2024.
Tuchel has agreed to leave his role as Bayern coach at the end of the season. This 50-year-old gentleman is said to be determined to return to the Premier League after leading Chelsea and winning the Champions League with the Blues in 2021. During his time at Bayern, Tuchel won 36, drew 8, and lost 15 out of 59—leadership match in all areas.
