Journalist Ramon Alvarez confirmed that Real Madrid is planning to favor Kylian Mbappe.

Currently, according to a report from journalist Ramon Alvarez, Luka Modric will not continue at Real Madrid after the current season. The 38-year-old is expected to meet club president Florentino Perez to discuss his future.

Although it is unclear whether the meeting will take place or not, it is currently reported that Modric will leave Merengues once the ongoing season ends and his contract expires.

Information from Ramon Alvarez also added that once Modric leaves, his vacant number 10 shirt will belong to an upcoming new contract at the Bernabeu, Kylian Mbappe. 

The French player just officially announced that he will leave PSG at the end of the season earlier this week, although his move to Real Madrid has not yet been confirmed. However, at this point, many predict that the 25-year-old will head to the Spanish capital club.

He is fully capable of taking over Modric’s number 10 shirt, although number 9 is still another attractive option.
