In an interview with BBC Sport, striker Leandro Trossard admitted that Manchester United caused many difficulties for Arsenal in last night’s match.

Having to play away at Man United’s Old Trafford in round 37 of the Premier League, Arsenal still won all 3 points with the only goal of the match scored by striker Trossard in the 20th minute.
Even though they were rated higher and had the lead, for the remainder of the match, the north London club was forced by the home team and exposed many gaps in defense, creating an opportunity for Man United to equalize. However, the Red Devils did not take advantage of the draw.

Commenting after the match, Arsenal hero Trossard said that this was not a good match for the home team.

“I think we played below our strength against Man United but the whole team defended solidly, we kept a clean sheet and had a goal to win 3 points,” Trossard said on BBC Sport.“ We had a lot of trouble but overcame the difficulties to win. Man United is very dangerous on counter-attacks and you won’t know what the consequences will be if you let them equalize.”

Trossard has been in great form recently, his goal against Man United last night was the Belgian star’s 4th goal in the last 5 matches. This season, the 29-year-old striker has 16 goals in all competitions. 

As for Arsenal, the 3 points won helped the Gunners rise to the top of the rankings with 86 points after 37 matches, 1 point more than Manchester City but playing 1 more match.
