‘He says he will be better… I think it is difficult’: Cristiano Ronaldo says his son is aiming to surpass his own career

Cristiano Ronaldo’s career may be coming to an end, but we might not have to wait long for the next one.

The 33-year-old confessed that his eldest kid, Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr, aspires to not only emulate but also outperform his father.

While Ronaldo, who also discussed his son’s relocation to the Juventus youth team following his own departure from Real Madrid, believes his kid can achieve comparable heights as him, he admits it may be a tall order.
The Portuguese told BeIn Sports: “I hope Cris, my son, can be like his father.” He claims he will outperform me, but I believe this will be difficult.

‘I’m delighted to have scored for him as well. He is playing for Juventus and adapting quite well; it has been easier for him than for me.

Ronaldo is, of course, already regarded as one of the best players of all time, so it will take more than talent for his kid to reach the same heights. After all, Ronaldo’s extraordinary tenacity and work ethic have allowed him to make the most of his God-given abilities.

But Ronaldo Jr. is clearly in an excellent position to do so. He not only shares 50% of his genes with a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, but he also has access to invaluable advice for any young prospect.

The fact that Juventus, one of Europe’s top clubs, has taken him under their wing demonstrates how talented the eight-year-old is. Either that or a position in the youth team was a must-have condition for Ronaldo’s £100 million move from Real Madrid.

Even if that were the case, it is not anymore. Unlike his father, Ronaldo Jnr scored four goals in his debut for Juventus’ under-9 team.
