Jeff Stelling has claimed that one Manchester United player is the biggest disappointment in the Premier League this season.
Erik ten Hag’s side are certainly used to some of the criticism coming their way at this point. Alan Shearer has labeled their season a disaster, even if it could still be saved by Saturday’s game against Manchester City.
The FA Cup final is probably an opportunity for Ten Hag to save his job in the context of many speculations about his future. Either way, this summer promises to be big changes at Old Trafford, with a number of players expected to leave and arrive.
Both Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial have announced their departures, moves that seem sensible for the club.
Jeff Stelling was tasked with picking the “biggest disappointment of the season” and mentioned Marcus Rashford alongside Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips. However, Jeff later chose Sofyan Amrabat as the most incompetent.
“Biggest disappointment of the season? This is a tough question, the obvious names are Marcus Rashford and Kalvin Phillips. I would probably pick Sofyan Amrabat, who was a star before going to Manchester United and regrets can’t do that at all.”
