The Man United homepage has officially announced the Red Devils’ Best Player of the 2023/24 season.
It’s no surprise that captain Bruno Fernandes won Man United’s Player of the Year award, despite the difficulties he and the club faced.
Fernandes finished the season strongly and received some well-deserved praise. The midfielder wearing shirt number 8 was honored as Player of the Month twice this season (August and April).
In the voting for the Sir Matt Busby Award for Best Player of the Year, Fernandes received 40% of the votes. Diogo Dalot ranked 2nd, followed by Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho respectively.
This is the third time Fernandes has won this prestigious award. No one will say this is the Portuguese star’s best campaign for Man United, but he still plays an important role for the team, through goals and assists. He is also the player who scored the most goals for the Red Devils in the Premier League this season. In all competitions, Fernandes has scored 15 times, only one goal behind Rasmus Hojlund with 16 goals.
