Antonio Rudiger celebrated Real Madrid’s Champions League victory in style, flaunting a watch with a stunning value.
The German international had a superb defensive effort as Real Madrid won the title for the 15th time, defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Wembley final on Saturday.
Rudiger posed with the Champions League trophy alongside his international teammate Toni Kroos and David Alaba, who was injured and missed the match.
While they were displaying the coveted prize, the pricey item on Rudiger’s wrist will have caught the attention of anyone viewing the photo on his social media accounts.
According to BILD, the watch is worth €1.51 million (£1.29 million), over 30 times more than the Champions League trophy.
According to the German publication, the Champions League trophy is worth approximately €50,000 (£42,600).
Rudiger also showed off the watch in an Instagram video that was first shared on Alaba’s Instagram story before being modified and republished by an account named ‘insaneluxurylife’.
The Patek Phillipe Nautilus watch is a limited edition collector’s item created in conjunction with Tiffany & Co to commemorate their 170th anniversary of working together.
It is said that just 170 timepieces were created, and depending on when Rudiger purchased the watch, he would have had to pay significantly more a year ago.
This is because the watch was apparently valued at €2.66 million (£2.26 million) last year.
Rudiger isn’t the only high-profile athlete photographed wearing the clock.
NBA superstar LeBron James was also seen wearing it at the 24 Hours of Le Mans event in France last year.
When James waved the flag to begin the legendary race, his watch was clearly visible.
Rudiger (right next to Alaba and Toni Kroos) won the Champions League for the second time in his career on Saturday, having done it earlier with Chelsea in 2021.
Rudiger’s second Champions League victory comes after he won the championship with Chelsea in 2020-21.
The German joined Real Madrid when they defeated Liverpool in the final a year later, and the 31-year-old has become an important member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
He made 48 appearances across all competitions this season and will now look to succeed with his national team, who will host the European Championship this summer.
