CONFIRM: Manchester United reach agreement with Marseille for Mason Greenwood – and includes huge sell-on clause

David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano both confirmed that Mason Greenwood’s deal to leave Manchester United is considered complete.

Specifically, Ornstein shared on The Athletic: ” Marseille reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign Mason Greenwood.

The price is 31.6 million euros (27.6 million fixed plus 4 million euros in additional fees) and Man Utd will receive most of the proceeds from selling Greenwood in the future.

The proposed deal still needs to be approved by the 22-year-old striker.”

Manchester United have accepted a €30m offer from Marseille, which includes a clause to receive nearly 50% of Greenwood’s future sale proceeds, from June 2025 to June 2029.

Just the final details from the player side, then the deal will be approved.”
