Matthijs de Ligt’s agent is working with Bayern Munich and Manchester United to complete the transfer.
After the Netherlands were eliminated from EURO 2024 by England, the future of centre-back Matthijs de Ligt was suddenly decided extremely quickly, with his move to Manchester United.
According to Bild Sports, the deal could be completed within this week. A verbal agreement has been reached between the parties, De Ligt is keen on joining Man United and Bayern are willing to accept it. Negotiations are in the final stages, before the transfer fee is finalised.
Also according to Bild, as soon as the deal is completed, a medical examination will be scheduled, it is expected that the Red Devils want De Ligt during the pre-season training session and upcoming friendly matches in the US.

Bayern Munich are understood to be set to use the proceeds from the sale of the Dutchman to buy back Bayer Leverkusen centre-back and German international Jonathan Tah.
In addition, according to German journalists, the 24-year-old midfielder’s contract at the new team will be for 5 years with an automatic 1-year extension clause. The salary is also being negotiated, but it is expected that De Ligt will receive less than what he is currently receiving at the Allianz Arena team.
