Two goals from Nico Williams and Oyarzabal helped Spain defeat England 2-1 in the final match at the Olympic Stadium in the early morning of July 15. The Spanish team convincingly won Euro 2024.

The Euro 2024 final at the Olympic Stadium (Berlin, Germany) took place with high professional quality, between the two strongest teams of the tournament. England chose a crowded defensive style, making it difficult for Spain to develop the ball and the first half did not have many opportunities created.

In the second half, Spain suffered a loss when star Rodri was injured and had to leave the field. However, in a difficult situation, coach Luis De La Fuente’s team played brilliantly and Lamime Yamal made a delicate cross for Nico Williams to score a tricky goal to open the score in the 47th minute.

Amid the deadlock, England equalized in the 73rd minute when Bellingham passed the ball back to Cole Palmer to finish from outside the box, tying the score at 1-1. It seemed as if the two teams were about to enter extra time when in the 90th minute, Cucurella crossed for Oyarzabal to tap in past Pickford, sealing a 2-1 victory for Spain.

Spain won 2-1 in the final, convincingly crowned Euro 2024 champion. This is the 4th time the Spanish team has reached the pinnacle of European football , after winning in 1964, 2008 and 2012.

England have yet to win a Euro title. At Euro 2020, Gareth Southgat and his team lost to Italy on penalties after the two teams drew 1-1 after 120 minutes.
