Manchester United have been considering Sofyan Amrabat’s future since his interim contract expired in June.
Throughout the 2023/2024 season, there were conflicting reports about whether the Moroccan would sign as a Red long-term; he arrived at Old Trafford on deadline day last summer on a season-long loan deal.
He did so for a few games, making it apparent in post-game interviews that he was willing to do whatever it took to help the club, even if it meant playing outside of his comfort zone.
Unfortunately, the Moroccan international finished the season having made 30 appearances in all competitions, 17 of which came from the start.

What has United determined about Amrabat’s future?
Fabrizio Romano has officially revealed that United have notified Amrabat’s original club, Fiorentina, that they will not activate his £21.4 million purchase clause.
However, they are not wholly opposed to doing business. They are apparently eager to work out a deal if they can negotiate ‘alternative terms’.
